Long Overdue Update

Well, it's been awhile since I updated last. It's been pretty busy at school getting all the end of the year things done. Now that school is done though, the summer doesn't seem like it is going to slow down much either!!

We ended April with some sort of flu bug. We weren't sure if what I got was food poisoning or not, but then Rob got it, too. I had it so bad, I ended up going to the emergency room and missing 2 days of work. Luckily, Maggie never got a thing.

The first Sat. in May was the Serving for Sadie volleyball tournament. Sadie is a student in my class that they were doing this fundraiser for. Maggie and I got to help out with the concessions. I'm not too sure how much help we were though because Maggie did a lot of running around playing and I did a lot of chasing after her!

Also in May, Maggie continued going to speech twice a week. Her last day was the 19th. Her teacher said she has made tremendous progress in just a month of going. Rob and I couldn't agree more! Her beginning f sounds are consistently there now. Some of her beginning s blends (st, sp, sn, sm, etc.) are there, but she still needs prompting to say those correctly. We are so proud of how well she is doing!

This summer, as I said before, is already filling up! In June, Maggie is signed up for a 2 week tumbling class. My mom, Maggie, and I are going to do a 5K walk for Children's Mercy Hospital on June 13th. We figured that's the least we could do after everything they've done for us. We also have the Lenexa BBQ contest the last weekend in June.

In July, Maggie will be doing 2 weeks of swimming lessons. She is scheduled for her MRI and hemonc. checkup on July 7th. Also, every Friday during both June and July, we are planning to go to the preschool hour for our library's summer reading program. Then, right before school starts back up in August, we are headed down to Texas to visit our friends.

There's the past few weeks and the upcoming months in a nutshell. I will try to update more often about our summer events!
