Basketball

Maggie made her first basket Wednesday at practice! Although that part was very exciting, the best part was the reaction of her team members and all the parents. The team kept cheering her on to make it, and when she did they all jumped up, screamed, and hugged her. All the parents cheered, clapped, and congratulated her, too. The whole thing just melted my heart...and even made me shed a few tears. I love the fact that her coach is teaching that it's not just about making the baskets, but about being a team!

The Best Meal Ever

I just had the most amazing meal at a new restaurant in town! Everyone should try Maggie's Classy Cafe out! It has great service, food and prices. It's open daily from 8:30-7:00 in the Smith basement.  The specialty was chips for an appetizer, crab meat and string cheese for the main course, and apples and yogurt for dessert.

Skating Party

On Friday, Maggie got invited to a skating party.  Greta Cole's family rents out a gym and invites a ton of friends for all 3 of their girls to skate with.  It's a great time for everyone!

Christmas Break

Over the rest of our Christmas break, Maggie and I went and saw a movie, Into the Woods.  It was pretty long, but she did great!  It was a musical, which she liked, but by the end did say she wished they would just say it instead of singing everything!  After the movie, we went to my parent's house. We ended up spending the night, too!

We ended our break by heading to Manhattan to celebrate Christmas with Rob's family.  We left Thursday and stayed through Saturday.  I was supposed to go back to work on Friday, but took a personal day so we could go.  Nathan, Maggie's cousin, came down and the two of them played and played.  It was a great visit!

Overall, our break was just that, a nice break!  Lots of staying up late and sleeping in, hanging out, and spending time together!
