Spring Break...Finale

We finished off our Spring Break spending it with all the grandparents!  Yesterday, Maggie and I spent the day with my parents catching up after they got back from their trip to San Diego.  Then, today, we drove to Manhattan after church to celebrate Great Grandma Thurlow's birthday.  We had lunch with the Thurlow side and then went back to Nana Karen and Papa Bob's house for dessert and to hang out for a little while.  After our visit, we headed back to Paola this evening in time to start school back up again tomorrow!

Spring Break Part 3

Today, we went to the Topeka Zoo with Amanda, Carson, and Avarie.  Maggie was excited to hold Avarie for the first time, too!

Melted my heart seeing these two!

Spring Break Part 2

Yesterday, Maggie and I went to Wonderscope, an old school converted into themed activity rooms.  We went with Amanda (Maggie's teacher and my friend) and her 2 kids.  Maggie and Carson had a great time exploring all the rooms.  Maggie said her favorite room was the hospital room for babies and animals.  After Wonderscope, we went out to lunch with them, too.  Then, Maggie and I stopped at Target on our way home to pick up her Easter dress and a copy of the movie Frozen, since we haven't seen it yet.  We came home, made some popcorn, and enjoyed the movie!  Another Spring Break day!!

St. Patrick's Day

I made Maggie shamrock pancakes for breakfast this morning.  For dinner tonight, we had corned beef hash and cabbage.  Of course there was green milk to drink, too!

Maggie Funny

Tonight Maggie said, "I know it!  It's on the top of my lip!"  I told her she probably meant to say that it was on the tip of her tongue!

Spring Break (so far)

Spring Break started last Friday for Maggie and I.  We got to spend the afternoon/evening with Amanda (Maggie's teacher) and her new baby, Avarie.  It was great to finally get the chance to see them and snuggle with the cutest little miracle I've seen in a long time!

On Saturday, we spent the day with Rob's mom, dad, and brother.  We ate lunch out and did some shopping before they headed back home to Manhattan.

Yesterday, Maggie and I went to church, went up to school to finish up some of my work, did laundry, and other chores around the house.

Today, we slept in, stayed home, and hung out!!  You gotta love Spring Break!!

More exciting activities are planned for the week to come, too!
