Kindergarten Music Program
Last Thursday, Maggie had her kindergarten music program. It was about Goldilocks and the 3 Bears. All 6 kindergarten classes sang songs for their families. It was absolutely adorable to hear them sing and see them do the actions and dances!
Limo Ride to Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen
Each year, at our PTO auction, the teachers auction off an "experience" for the students. This year, the kindergarten teachers decided to auction off the chance to go on a limo ride to Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen for lunch. So, I bid on it for Maggie and she got to choose 3 friends to go with her. There were other kids that won and got to choose friends, too. Maggie got to ride in the limo from school to Pizza Hut for lunch. Rob was working, so it was even better! Then, they rode in the limo to Dairy Queen for ice cream and back to school. She and her friends had a great time. What an experience!

Pancake Day at School
We were supposed to have Pancake Day back in February because National Pancake Day was during that month. It got rescheduled due to our snow days. So, the kids all got to have pancakes for lunch last week! Chris Cakes is a company that comes in and serves pancakes for large crowds. He even flips them for you to catch. He didn't make the kids catch them, but he did make the adults! Luckily for me, I caught both of mine!!
Maggie's Birthday...Part 2
On Maggie's actual birthday, Rob and I took her to get her ears pierced. She did great! No tears, but she sure did think hard about whether or not she was going to cry! After that, we met my parents, my brother, sister in-law, niece and nephew, Rob's parents and his brother for a birthday dinner. Maggie chose Chinese, one of her absolute favorites. So, we had dinner and opened presents. We even did "cake"!
Getting them pierced
Pretty earrings for a pretty girl!
Embarrassed because we're singing Happy Birthday to her!
Yes, those are the Chinese sugar donuts!
Hello Kitty Clock
The Little House on the Prairie books
She got lots of scented lotions and hand sanitizers!
Maggie's Spa Birthday Party
Maggie had her first "friend" birthday party this year for her 6th birthday. She chose a spa theme. The girls had to sign in at the guestbook when they walked in for their "appointments". We gave the girls facials with mud masks, did makeup, and gave manicures and pedicures. After the spa, Maggie opened presents and we ate cake. All the girls got their own pair of flip flops and lavendar bath salts to take home for party favors. Nana and Aunt Ana came down to help run the spa...and I never would have been able to do it without them because there were 8 girls total!! The girls had a wonderful, relaxing day at the Smith Day Spa!
Night at the Museum
Each year at Cottonwood, we do "Night at the Museum". Each classroom is transformed into a themed room for the kids to explore. Rob took Maggie through each room while I stayed to run my own classroom. It's a great night full of fun activities!

Easter...Part 2
The first pictures below are of Maggie dying Easter eggs at school.
The other pictures are of her getting her basket full of goodies (books, nail polish, gum, and eggs full of candy) from the Easter Bunny on Easter morning, dressing up in her Easter dress, and dying eggs at home. Rob, Maggie and I went to church and got to go out to breakfast all together. Then, we came home to dye the eggs. We had an absolutely wonderful Easter spent together as a family!
