Easter
Today, we celebrated Easter with Nana, Papa, Uncle Brett, Aunt Ana, and DJ, who all came down to our house. We had a wonderful day with great weather, fantastic food, and got to spend some quality time all together. Here are some pictures of Maggie's Easter Egg Hunt and visit to the Family Center to see the baby chicks they had:

Spring Break...Almost the End
Maggie and I went to Baily's birthday party on Tuesday night and then she stayed the night. She ended up spending the majority of the day Wednesday playing over there, too! Then, her and I did major birthday party preparations on Thursday. We got all of the necessities for an all girl, spa-themed party. It is going to be so cute! On Friday, Baily came over to our house and spent the day playing. Today, we met Nana Karen, Papa Bob, Uncle Jim, Uncle Brett, Aunt Ana, DJ, and Izzy up at the World War I Museum. It was a very neat place with lots of information, pictures, movies, and interactive activities. After the museum visit, we had a late lunch and headed home in a winter wonderland! It is snowing like crazy here with huge snowflakes! Needless to say, the plan for tomorrow, our last day of Spring Break, is to hang out at our warm, cozy house and do NOTHING!!

Spring Break...So Far
Maggie has been on the go since Spring Break started. Her break started last Friday because I still had conferences. She got to spend the day hanging out with Nana and Papa. Then, she had a sleepover Saturday with Baily, a friend from school. On Sunday, Baily and Maggie played all day together, too! Yesterday, we went bowling and out to dinner with Nana, Papa, Uncle Brett, Aunt Ana, DJ, and Izzy. This was Maggie's first time bowling and she scored a 54! Granted, she used the bumpers, but she was still pretty close to beating Uncle Brett!! Today, we went to the Moon Marble Company with Nana and Papa and got to watch how they make marbles. Maggie even got to pick one out. Tonight, she is going over to Baily's house for her birthday party and she's going to spend the night over there this time. Who knows what the rest of the week has in store, but we've been busy so far!!

Another Maggie Funny
Maggie is all about 1/2 ages recently since she knows her birthday is so close. So, the other day, she told Rob and I that her baby wasn't 1 yet...she was 0 and a 1/2!
St. Patrick's Day
We celebrated St. Patrick's Day early in school since we don't actually have school on St. Patrick's Day. So, all the kids could wear green to school this past week. Maggie's class took it a bit further and did some dressing up, too!
Dr. Seuss
Maggie's kindergarten class has done lots of Dr. Seuss activities in class to celebrate his birthday. Some of the days got doubled up on to make up for the snow days we missed. Here are some pictures of her from Dr. Seuss Week:
They read Green Eggs and Ham. So, they could wear green and they got to make their own green eggs and ham! Also, they read The Cat in the Hat and got to wear hats.
Maggie loved the green eggs and ham!!

Family Reading Night
Every year at Cottonwood, we have a Family Reading Night for families to come in and do lots of fun reading activities. This year, the high school performed a play of a book, and then we went through 3 different book/activity rotations. All of the books and activities were pancake-themed. The first rotation was the book, If You Give a Pig a Pancake. Then, Maggie got to make a pig snack. Then, there was a Curious George book with some carnival activities (ie. ring toss to win a book) and a cooking book about pancakes, so Maggie got to decorate her own potholder to keep. We had a great time!
