Cheese Nipples

Maggie told me tonight that she was going to share some "cheese nipples" with her stuffed animal. I quickly responded with, "I think you mean Cheese Nips."

Easter 2011

Today, Rob had to work at 2, so my family came down to our house for Easter lunch. It was another great meal and day! The rain even held off and it ended up being pretty nice outside. In fact, it was nice enough that we were able to do our Easter egg hunt outside instead of inside!

Maggie's Hawaiian Luau Birthday Party

Yesterday was Maggie's 4th birthday party. We had a great day with family and friends! Beautiful weather and yummy food, too!! We decorated for the Luau theme with sand and shell centerpieces, flowers, lanterns, tiki torches, etc. We made Hawaiian type foods like chicken kabobs, sweet and sour meatballs, Hawaiian cole slaw, fresh fruit with a Pina Colada fruit dip, white chocolate macadamia nut cookies, and pineapple upside down cake. Happy Birthday Maggie!!

Charlie

Maggie got her birthday present from Rob and I last night...a new guinea pig she named Charlie.

Maggie reading Charlie Hits it Big, one of her favorite books, to her Charlie. The book is about a guinea pig named Charlie who goes to Hollywood to star in pictures. Needless to say, it was the perfect name to choose!

Maggie couldn't wait to get home and see Charlie today!

Candy Land

No matter how many times we play, I just can't get Maggie to understand that she doesn't have to land on the popsicle, cupcake, lollipop, etc. The object to winning is to get to the end first normally, but not for Maggie! Even when she wins, she gets upset if she doesn't draw those particular cards and get to land on those spots!!

I Spoke Too Soon!

I was wrong in thinking we were done with all of our specialist appts. for Mag. I thought we were, but forgot that we do have a 2 yr. follow-up appt. with her cardiologist. I got the postcard in the mail to call and set up the appt. for August. Hopefully, this will actually be her last specialist appt.!!

Enjoying the Beautiful Weather

Maggie and I rewarded our long walk to the park and Dairy Queen with some ice cream! I'm sure I worked off the ice cream, too, because I had to carry her home part of the way since she was so tired!!
