Endocrine Lab Results

Got the call from the Endocrine Clinic today and Maggie's thyroid labs came back normal. So, we are done with endocrine and all other specialists at Children's Mercy!!!!!!

Pizza Hut/Children's Mercy Hospital

Pizza Hut is doing a fundraiser to help Children's Mercy Hospital. When Rob's boss called to ask if he and Maggie would be interested in being in the commercial, we jumped at the chance, especially after everything they've done for us. It was a lot of stand here, wait a couple minutes while we get this ready, stand around some more, wait around while we fix this, etc., but Maggie did pretty well overall. Here are the 2 stars!

Sleepover with Nana and Papa

I dropped Maggie off at my parent's house after her endocrine appt. today. She is going to spend the night tonight because my mom had requested one night during spring break. Tonight worked perfectly because tomorrow a group of my friends and I are going out to the boats to win big and out to dinner afterwards. I've talked with them once already and it sounded like Maggie was having a great time. She was already on her second dress-up outfit and on a "date" with Papa!!

Endocrine Appt. Update

Maggie's endocrine appt. today went great!!! Her doctor was quite pleased with her growth, the lab tech. only had to stick her 1 time and got her blood right away, and her doctor said if the labs come back okay we don't have to come back. Yahooo!! Thanks for the prayers. They obviously worked their magic again!!

A Girl After My Own Heart

Yesterday, Maggie came downstairs to tell me she had a checklist she was making. I've obviously taught her well!! She takes after her daddy, too, since her eyes are closed in the picture (a normal thing for daddy).

Fancy Lunch

Maggie made "herself" today for lunch!! She had a tortilla head, cheese hair and mouth, grape eyes, a strawberry nose, and pepperoni arms and legs. She dressed up for it, too (notice the Minnie Mouse skirt)!

Endocrine Appt. Tomorrow

Maggie has a check-up with the endocrine clinic tomorrow (the only specialist we have left). If all goes well, this should be the last time!!!! Please say some extra prayers for her.

Spring Break Begins

Spring Break has started off great! Got to spend the afternoon with Maggie and my parents yesterday and spent the day in the city with Rob's parents today. Tonight, all of us had a fantastic dinner at My Big Fat Greek Restaurant!!

SpaghettiO's

Only Maggie would be eating Disney Princess SpaghettiO's (and yes we totally gave into product marketing), inspect what princess it is, go get the movie to compare her hairstyle, and then get the book to compare the cat!

She always asks which princess she has on her spoon before she eats it. So, tonight I was describing Cinderella to her by telling her she had a bun in her hair. She proceeded to go upstairs to get the movie to see what a bun looked like. On the movie cover, PomPom, the cat, was gray. So, Maggie then went to get her Cinderella book to show that PomPom was actually white in the book.
